How lucky are we?! Getting to travel to a new country AND photographing a beautiful cultural wedding, pinch me for I must be dreaming... But alas this was our reality, we traveled to Jakarta for nine days to explore, learn, immerse, and capture. What an experience it was, the wedding day started bright and early at one of Jakarta's most luxurious hotels, The St. Regis. We were up at 4am, with breakfast promptly delivered to our room at 4:30, then straight into a limo at 6 to be at the brides family home for photos and Ying Qin, also know as the Bride Fetching Ceremony, at 630. Talk about an early morning!

From the Bride Fetching straight to the ceremony at a stunning venue in the heart of Jakarta, the Saint Theresia Roman Catholic Church. This church was HUGE... and beautiful... It was such a pleasure to see so many people gathered for the holy matrimony.

After a much needed afternoon break we all headed back to the St. Regis for the Tea Ceremony and a banging reception. Bountiful food and drinks were on offer, from western classics to eastern delicacies, there wasn't much that was missing from buffet that awaited us all. Three piece suits and ballroom gowns adorned the dance floor as everyone boogied the night away.
